Welcome! My name is Harmony, I’m incredibly blessed to be married to my best friend, and together we have 5 children. Our lives are filled with creativity and craziness as we juggle working from home, homeschooling, and living in the country.

 

Why Marigolds and Mondays?

Generally speaking, Marigolds are one of the most helpful plants you can grow in a garden. They attract good pollinators, ward off pests, help many vegetables grow better, and add never-ending color and beauty. In the world of education, I’ve read the phrase, “find your marigold,” the idea being that you find that one other person who builds you up and encourages you. I hope that in a tiny way this blog is something like that for you.

On the other hand, life is full of chaos and discouragement. We all have Mondays, those days that are long and hard and go on forever. I hope that through this blog you can find encouragement and hope in the midst of the Mondays and that it will ultimately point you to Jesus.

From my own experience, we are often most encouraged when we feel like we are not alone and we hear other stories of people’s struggles and triumphs. It’s my goal in life to be as transparent as possible; to show both the real struggles and the genuine joys of homeschooling and motherhood.
